Dr Mayo was born in Virginia, and moved to Idaho in 1978. He attended college in Boise, and moved to North Carolina briefly, then returned to the northwest to attend veterinary school. Since graduation, he has made Mountlake Terrace, Washington, his home with the love of his life, Laura. Dr. Mayo graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1994 with honors. Prior to veterinary school, Dr Mayo was a respiratory therapist at Duke University Medical Center, and received his training in that field from Boise State University in 1986. He practiced respiratory therapy until 1990, at which time he entered veterinary school full time. Dr Mayo holds 5 college degrees from three major universities. Dr Mayo purchased his first veterinary practice in 1995 in Lynnwood, Washington, and his second practice in 2000, also in Lynnwood. Dr. Mayo devoted much of his practice time to learning new procedures in rigid endoscopy, orthopedics, and radiosurgery. In 2007, Dr Mayo began teaching orthopedic courses throughout the United States and abroad in small animals. Dr Mayo passed the certification program administered by the Veterinary Laser Surgical Society in February 2005. In November of 2007, Dr Mayo earned his Diplomate status in the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners, with certification in Canine and Feline Practice.

 Sophy A. Jesty

Sophy A. Jesty, DVM, DACVIM

Dr. Jesty graduated from Cornell University's College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She completed a two year fellowship in large animal ultrasound and cardiology (2001-2003) followed by a large animal internal medicine residency (2003-2005) at New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania. After this, she completed a small animal cardiology residency (2005-2008) followed by a two year clinical fellowship in the cardiology service (2008-2010) at Cornell University.

 Michael Fleck

Michael Fleck, DVM

Founder, Epiderma Pet

Dr. Fleck, with bachelor and veterinary degrees from Michigan State University, holds an M.A. degree and is certified as a licensed esthetician. Dr Fleck has practiced small animal medicine for thirty-five years in Florida, Michigan and Guam. He is a member of many professional organizations including the American, Florida, California and Michigan Veterinary Associations. Dr. Fleck is founder and creator of Epi-Pet, which develops "high performance" skin and ear care products and treatments for pets. Dr. Fleck has lectured extensively on "Skin and Ear Care for Pets" throughout the United States at many veterinarian and groomer conferences and trade shows.

 Olaf Thamm

Olaf Thamm

Olaf Thamm studied veterinary medicine and graduated from Freie Universität Berlin in 1992. He set up various veterinary practices and clinics for pets in Germany and abroad. He managed Eurotierkliniken veterinary clinics until 2003, which were founded thanks to his work at Mallorca and Ibiza. His mobile clinic is recognised everywhere for its regular activities in favour of animal protection. Since January 2003, he has concentrated on SmartVet, first European veterinary network.

 Valeria M Tanco

Valeria M Tanco DVM, MSc, DACT

Valeria M Tanco obtained her veterinary degree with honors from the Catholic University in Cordoba Argentina in 2006. She completed her Masters of Science degree at University of Saskatchewan in Canada under the supervision of Dr Gregg Adams in the field of biomedical sciences. Her work was focused on the characterization of an ovulation inducing factor found in the seminal plasma of domestic animals. During that time she obtained several scholarships and first prizes on three different occasions for her work in basic sciences. In 2008, Valeria moved on to Cornell University where she completed her Large and Small animal residency in reproductive medicine by 2010. Since then, Valeria has been working at the University of Tennessee as a Clinical Assistant Professor in Small Animal Reproductive Medicine and completing her PhD research on Stem cell biology and their potential clinical application. Dr Tanco has been in the reproductive field since early on in veterinary school and has a special interest in furthering knowledge in small animal theriogenology.
